What to Expect
This appointment is considered very important to both the patient and Dr. Blank. Because of this, we schedule 1.5 hours to spend with you. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time if you have completed the paperwork at home.

At the conclusion of the first visit, you should have a very good understanding of your current dental health. If your treatment is complex or has options to be discussed we may ask you to schedule a second visit to just consult with the Doctor after he has prepared written information for you. We call this a “Review of Findings and Treatment Planning Visit “.

Treatment needs, sequence, and options will be reviewed. If there are choices in treatment paths, certain things you want to be addressed first and more, your decisions will be included and treatment will be finalized. Your input is crucial for developing a plan that will work for you. Long-term success requires your desire to be healthy and follow through to meet the goals that we set together.
You Will Receive
- A printed copy of your Examination Findings
- A review of your Digital Radiographs (x-rays)
- Treatment Options
- Alternate Treatments will be discusssed if appropriate
- A copy of your Periodontal Measurement Form
- Other materials related to your specific situation
- Fees will be presented in writing after the treatment plan is finalized with you.
- Financial options will be reviewed as needed.
This will NOT be like the dental treatment of the past
This is NOT the 5-minute exam. We believe this will be the most thorough First Visit / Oral Examination you will ever have. We will make sure that you are comfortable and enjoy this experience.
This visit is the foundation of a good dental relationship that will allow you to achieve the best oral health possible, and with proper care, maintain that level of health for a lifetime.
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
For patients with emergency needs, we will treat one emergency concern to alleviate pain or infection. After this visit, we ask that you return for the complete examination and treatment planning visit to avoid repeated emergencies. Emergency care usually does not lead to a healthy mouth in the long term. My goal is to help people be as healthy as possible. Other offices cater to emergencies when getting healthy is not a big concern to the patient.
