In May of 1999 the office relocated to St. Lucie West and is currently in the Select Center on Country Club Drive and Central Park Plaza. Dr. Blank and his team are dedicated to improving oral health by educating each patient about oral health and by involving patients in their treatment. Just fixing things is not our goal. I want to help patients need less fixing! The office is a private care pactice. It is NOT corporate owned or a chain (like Coast Dental, Gentle Dental, Sage Dental, Aspen Dental, Banyan Dental, Dental Land, etc..) It is NOT an insurance owned practice. Dr. Blank is the only dentist in the office, you will see the same doctor each visit. I don't look at your insurance benefits to determine your dental diagnosis. Treatment options are based on my findings of your dental health and your desires that we talk about before examination.
Dr. Blank has completed an intensive continuing education program through the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, FL. TMJ analysis, diagnosis, occlusion (bite) and muscles were studied in depth. The team studied at the Schuster Center for Professional Development. In addition, Dr. Blank trained at the Piper Center under Dr. Mark Piper on TM joint diganosis and MRI evaluation. With this training, Dr. Blank can diagnose headaches, jaw aches, and bite problems. Dr. Blank and his team have completed Smile Makeover educational programs by the Hornbrook Group. This level of hands on training results in skills that benefit my patient's daily.
Dr. Blank is proud to have been on the facutly of the Hornbrook Group and has mentored other dentists and their teams in clinical techniques. The focus of this education was to restore function to mouths that have simply worn out, with short or broken teeth and to create beautiful cosmetic smiles that are natural appearing and functional. Cosmetics and smile design are incorporated for the full effect of the best dentistry available. The dental team has completed the DOCS (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation) training. We offer "Anxiety-Free" medicated care to help you relax through your visit with state of the art patient monitoring equipment. We have added equipment to our office that allows us to evaluate and treat TMJ problems beyond the scope of what most dental offices chose to offer. We are able to take x-rays of the TMJ, Doppler sound studies, Joint Vibrational Analysis of the TM joints, and we incorporate the Tek-Scan III for digital evaluation of the forces and timing of how the teeth come together when you bite. Dr. Blank continues to exceed the state required 30 hours of continuing education every two years by averaging over 75 hours every two years.
